Excited to finally see our paper detailing the roles of PRC2 mutants during cellular differentiation online! A big thank you to my PI @GJCVeenstra for the immense support and all the co-authors @MatteoPerino_ for their valuable help :) https://t.co/44fpqNAy7S

Today, we’re introducing a new model that eliminates accept/reject decisions.

By publishing every paper with eLife reviews as a Reviewed Preprint, we plan to restore autonomy to authors, ensuring that they will be judged by what, not where, they publish. https://t.co/OAsiOVFStI

It is an honor to be able to talk about my work at my first OTS meeting #OTS2022. Trying our best to make treatment available for #stargardtdisease

@QuJieqiong @Vanrij @rimls Congrats @Jieqiong, always a pleasure to read your work - very detailed, informative and cool findings to show how piRNAs evolution can confer novel antiviral mechanisms in the mozzies.

[jieqiong qu @QuJieqiong]

Thrilled to share my postdoc work in @vanRij’s lab @RIMLS @Raboudumc! With combined transcriptional and chromatin state analyses, we identified transcriptional readthrough as a conserved mechanism for piRNA cluster biogenesis in mosquitoes…1/n 🧵👇🏾

Your age, with all the mortality factors it implies, is more complex than the number of birthdays you’ve had. Epigenetic clocks that deduce biological age from chemical tags on DNA predict mortality better than chronological age. https://t.co/bgCq23YnKH

Very happy to see our review @Epigenomes published.

Our review writing process with @MDPIOpenAccess @Epigenomes was smooth with fast and useful feedback. Fun piece to write with @GJCVeenstra with an overview of when and where Polycomb variant complexes play a role during embryonic development. #Epigenetics #Development #Polycomb

[Gert Jan C. Veenstra @GJCVeenstra]

In 8 days from reviewer comments (minor revisions) to online publication @Epigenomes,
23 days after initial submission.
That was fast!

Constructive comments on our review, pleasant experience!
Thanks to special issue Academic Editors @ludicroce @lluismorey and editorial staff👍

I am very disappointed with the service of @etihad for my last trip. I booked a flight CGK-AUH-AMS and they waited to the last minute to tell me it is overbooked and I could not board from AUH-AMS. Got rebooked via LHR and arrived to AMS with my checked luggage being lost (1/n)

@Suz_Stelloo @RIMLS_Science @LabVermeulen @NWO_Science Huge congratulations Suz :) :)

@Suz_Stelloo Awesome 😍 I see my contribution to one of them haha. Here's my 6 most recent ones on my camera roll :p

Happy to share our story which finally came out on @Nature. We show that, in the hypomethylated germ line, Polycomb (H3K27me3) functionally replaces DNA methylation to provide transcriptional repression of both genes and transposable elements. https://t.co/hljbkGPhdr

What are the roles of PRC2.1 mutants during later developmental stages and what are the dynamics between sub-components of PRC2.1 during differentiated states? Stay tuned in this space for updates soon! #Development

Took awhile, but I'm very proud of the work we have done, applying modern single-cell technology, ChIP-seq and bulk transcriptomics to untangle the heterogenous phenotypes of PRC2 mutants during EB differentiation. #Singlecell #differentiation

Beautiful and important work done to once again remind us why we should NOT 1) pick one single sex when designing exps and 2)always regress out influence of sex in analyses. Curious to know if the adult sex differences are regulated/influenced by the inherent birth differences!

In @SciReports, we show sex differences in human endothelial cells from #twins and adults and the implication for #cardiovascular disease #SABV @RHartman11 @mete_civelek @gpasterkamp @MedicaInSpe @MokryMichal

@VictorHeurt Very cool study there! With GFP-affinity pulldown of EZH2, we find PHF19 interacting with the PRC2 during ES stage and upon LIF withdrawal. Would be cool to also see if Nanog is interacting in close proximity with PRC2-PHF19 using proximity labelling techniques!

Proud to present our work, highlighting the priming of lineage choice during embryoid body differentiation in the absence of different PRC2 subunits. @MatteoPerino_ @GJCVeenstra https://t.co/cBszfEhjxv

2) Enrichment of early differentiating precursors and neuro-ectodermal cell fates for Jarid2 null cells, 3)Mtf2 is critical for balance of activation/ repression of key regulators and coordinates differentiation by thresholding lineage-priming during exit of pluripotency
