1. NMDC — ₹5,427 crore integrated project commissioned

NMDC commissioned its 2-MTPA pellet plant at Nagarnar, completing an integrated project comprising a 15-MTPA ore-processing facility and 135-km slurry pipeline from Bacheli. Maiden pellet production has begun.

The project enables higher-value use of iron-ore fines and slimes, adds pellet revenue and reduces dependence on road and rail transport. Returns will depend on utilisation, pellet prices, operating stability and logistics savings. NSE filing⁠

VSpartans View: This is an operating milestone—not merely proposed capex—and should gradually improve NMDC’s value-added product mix.

2. Neogen Chemicals — Morita approves ₹76.8 crore investment in battery-materials JV

Neogen Morita New Materials approved issuing 7.20 lakh shares at ₹1,066.66 each to Japan’s Morita Investment. The ₹76.8 crore infusion would give Morita 9.09% of the venture, subject to remaining approvals.

The capital and strategic partnership support domestic production of LiPF₆ electrolyte salt, a critical lithium-ion battery input. Commercial plant ramp-up, customer qualifications, pricing and utilisation remain key. NSE filing⁠
