@InTheAssembly CAPEX in AI spending is the issue, hitting their stock. Just look at $MSFT's earnings today - they mentioned CAPEX will be lower than expected, and the stock is doing fine.
@NoLimitGains CAPEX spending is the other issue. Just look at $MSFT's earnings today - they mentioned CAPEX will be lower than expected, and the stock is doing fine.
That said, agree with you that longer term $GOOGL will be fine.
One method is to measure via ATR multiples. For me, I take 1/3 profits when it's extended by 2-3 ATRs beyond the 10 day EMA.
From there, I move up the stop for the remaining 2/3 to break even to protect capital. If it continues to run, I then put 2 stops... 1 at the 10 EMA, and the last 1/3 at the 21 EMA. Has worked well for me to prove invalidation.
@RealSimpleAriel Haha! I do think there will be some consolidation in the next 12 months among the AI names, so not that surprised with the $MRVL and $LITE news.
@801010athlete Yeah, not a good look. Sitting right at the Anchored VWAP to the LOW since it IPO'ed. (green line)
i.e., the average share traded since the LOWEST ever is merely break even right now.
@mwebster1971@federalreserve Frankly, the Fed should have raised 50bps last month in Sep. Would have rid of the uncertainties for today's meeting and the next one.
Rip off the bandage so we can move forward with less certainty.
@WarrenPies Goldman sees AI displacing up to 9% of workers. Hiring already 10k below trend in exposed industries. Fed's steady 4.1% looks short lived is my guess. Can't see how this won't be higher by this time next year.
