@RaigeGames@YangyYoung And of course he goes into detail about the situation. As he is trying to provide a (although biased) full picture of what happened.
@RaigeGames@YangyYoung Tbh I find the hate wagon towards him overblown. He made a mistake. He got trialed in court for it. He apologized.
Why drag all this stuff out in the open?
People make mistakes.
He did not seriously hurt anyone (AFAIK). He was just in breach of conduct.
@YangyYoung Is there any way we can read up on the official verdict by the judge in court?
Writing someone text messages wouldn't be considered harassment in my eyes, especially if said person did not block / show any signs of not wanting to be contacted.
@videotech Never would have thought I'd be playing GTA when taking a shit - but R* did it.
On a more serious note - I am enjoying the ports and I believe Mobile is the perfect platform for these older titles in this age. Playing one mission while in between things is super fun and easy.
@wealth_turtle@crazyclipsonly Fuck that. My dog is more chill than most children (or adults). I'll bring my dog whereever as long as she isn't disturbing anyone.
@NeedForMadnessA@LegacyKillaHD These games weren't developed by Netflix though. They were developed by Video Games Deluxe (The studio that used to be Team Bondi, the developers of L.A. Noire)
@lickmyfuggindic @LegacyKillaHD Because 2K belongs to Rockstar.
It's unlikely but if Netflix wanted to they could buy them out (even against their will).
@LegacyKillaHD I mean ... in theory they could go for it. Their market cap is more than 5 times of Take Two.
But I doubt Strauss or the board want to sell, and I highly doubt Netflix will risk a corporate takeover.
@kevin_cazun@videotech Video Games Deluxe is the former Team Bondi,
They have worked with R* for years - and I believe they truly are a capable studio.
@that1detectiv3 I have said it - and I'll say it again: Their games should be shorter.
RDR2 did not need to be 65+ hours.
20 hours would have sufficed fully.
Product management:
1/ is not same as CEO
2/ is not Data Science
3/ is not Product Design
4/ is not Product Marketing
5/ is not Project Management
6/ is not Software Engineering
7/ is not data / product analytics
Yet it is all of them.
@JustAnotherPM It is about understanding all of them - yes
Although it really blends together with project management at times, especially at smaller companies or teams
@LegacyKillaHD I vividly remember when playing GTA SA that I dreamed and envisioned how the next GTA would look like... and then I saw the trailer it exceeded my expectations.
@asdr317@LegacyKillaHD I believe the budget is not really known, and we will get a more exact number when we get closer to release. Though it would definitely be more difficult to calculate anyway with many people at R* working on multiple projects at the same time.
@PaganProphet91 @JasonRocco77@LegacyKillaHD Lets make a very simple example.
If I had 1000 hours of Metin 2
vs
15 hours of Max Payne 3
for 70 $
I'd take Max Payne 3 any day.
@likemho @SpicyNoods23 @LegacyKillaHD Every software project has risk of failure, and the larger project is, the harder it becomes to mitigate those risks.
Larger projects mean more effort on coordination, less channeled responsibility, more variables for things that can go wrong.
@likemho @SpicyNoods23 @LegacyKillaHD I am not talking about demand based risk obviously.
I am talking about the risk of such a large development project for things to go wrong. (and things DID go wrong with a dev cycle of over 10 years and practically footage being leaked).
