A lake of liquid methane on Titan, Saturn's largest moon. This bright spot captured by the Cassini spacecraft is a sunglint: the perfect reflection of the Sun on a calm sea of hydrocarbons. At -179°C, Titan has a real hydrological cycle… but based on methane and ethane instead of water. Stable lakes, rivers, and seas truly exist on its surface, beneath a thick orange atmosphere.
