@earthtekkers@electrician_247@thewiringregs Should a cable buried in a wall that is not in a prescribed zone not be SWA or in steel conduit? Just curious not up on the 18th Edition. Irish regs are slightly different?
@jwflame@Adrianepdavey @PaulF_thebenKNX @sparky_winter You only need 1 licence for the ETS software for configuration of systems.
You don't need any training if you have any interest in learning yourself. Reconfiguration can be done remotely if you have your network setup to allow such, granted that would be a higher end system.
@MM0OPX I suppose the frequency will just effect the current flow through the inductor so would have no bearing on the measured value of the inductor. Increasing frequency will will just decrease current.
@MM0OPX Will the test frequency range on these make much difference to actual real world ability of the inductor to perform on for example 14MHz if the meter injects 200kHz test frequency?
@Nigelsmiff1979 Also the cheap clamp will use voltage sampling to derive the current and map that to a fixed voltage value. The burden load adds inaccuracies to the low end readings also.
@Nigelsmiff1979 Unless you measure actual voltage along with the current then you won't be able to calculate the consumption accurately. Aside from taking power factor into account which is not used I domestic metering.
@juliefarrelly2 @SEAI_ie The problem with Google Nest is that they are €230 off he shelf but a semi state company is selling them as a loss leader for €130 installed if you switch to them as an energy supplier. Also Google won't appoint any company in Ireland as an approved installer/partner.
