Border Teacher: "Help Us End This War"
SIEM REAP--A teacher in Banteay Meanchey province has called on the international community to end what she described as renewed Thai military aggression against Cambodia, demanding justice for her country.
"We have witnessed painful separation. Mothers are separated from their children, and children are separated from their fathers," she said.
"I have seen these scenes at displacement centers, and they are heartbreaking."
The teacher, who asked not to be named for security reasons, said she wants the world to witness the injustice and ensure justice is served for Cambodia.
"I ask the international community to help Cambodia and to do whatever is necessary to end the war. We all know that Cambodia has no intention of invading anyone, not even in the slightest," she said.
