When you interact with your kids this week, keep in mind that you may never know when your child will decide to hold on to those words and carry them with them for a long time
This isn’t to put pressure on you, but to remind you how much your words matter
#intentionalparenting
Wherever God plants you on this earth, if you are in a position to, volunteer or serve in whatever capacity you can. It is honorable, it is beautiful, it is noble, and God rewards you tenfold! 🩵
Teach children how to advocate for themselves. Especially how to do it with authority and in situations where the power dynamic is a big factor.
Teach them to trust their gut and how to speak up when something is off. Model this and validate them when they do it with you.
A tip of the iceberg on some of the best things about children:
-They don't care what others think
-They like trying new things
-They aren't afraid to fail
-They seek out risk
Learn to live like a child.
I really think we need to stop asking children:
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
And instead, start asking them:
"What kind of person do you want to become?"
Comparing your children to other kids to encourage them will mostly just make them feel more insecure.
They're beautiful, unique adults. Don't take away their magic by using comparison.
Things your kids should hear you say everyday to them:
❤️I love you
❤️Great job
❤️Let's play
❤️I'm proud of you
❤️I love being your mom
❤️I love being your dad
❤️Tell me more about it
❤️It's okay to feel that way
❤️You are so good at that!
❤️We all make mistakes, no big deal!
Dear Parent,
.
Prioritize Bible time with your kids. It doesn't have to be morning devotion; you can ask them to read & meditate on a particular Bible verse or portion during the day & when you return, ask them what they learnt & wrap it up.
.
You are strengthened in Jesus' name!
