There has been a noticeable influx in the number of young Advocates opting to start their own practice.
It is bold. It is admirable. It is necessary.
But beyond the courage to begin, build discipline. Build reputation. Build trust.
The law will test your patience before it rewards your effort. Clients will test your integrity before they trust your judgment.
Do not rush the process. Master the craft. Honour your word. Show up even when it is hard and unseen.
Your name will become your greatest asset or your greatest liability. Guard it fiercely.
Run your practice with integrity, courage, and consistency.
That is how you build not just a firm but a legacy.
The more you postpone showing up, the more you delay yourself from finding your partner, soul connection, potential client, business partner or finding your people - your tribe.
Showing up might be hard, but it MUST be done.
You MUST conquer your fear of being seen - that is how the right people find you✨
And where do you start, you ask?

I really appreciate the people educating us on Luo burial culture and rites as opposed to the“nyinyi hamjui inakuwanga normal” type posts tryna shame people for being surprised with what they are unfamiliar with
See how quickly there are resources availed to the elites while fire victims, comrades shot on streets, inefficient health system take weeks or years to get “resources or assistance”.
The club does not care about y’all paupers.
Its a big club and yall are not in it.
@AsakyGRN The fact you have to make a law to stop men for raping kids is scary and crazy
Look at these useless men fighting for their right to rape kids and someone will tell me there’s nothing wrong with men?
Women ain’t angry enough
The Law Society of Kenya, in conjunction with the Senior Counsel Bar, is firmly opposing the proposed amendment to the Advocates Act that seeks to grant the President unilateral authority to confer the rank of Senior Counsel.
The proposed amendments risk undermining decades of hard-won standards by shifting authority to confer this prestigious rank to political officeholders.
This process must remain merit-based, peer-reviewed and independent of political influence. Senior Counsel should continue to represent legal excellence earned through professional achievement, not an automatic title tied to public office.
We uphold the principle that only advocates who meet the highest standard of distinction are conferred this honour. Safeguarding this process protects not just the dignity of the rank, but the integrity of our profession.
We call on Hon. George Gitonga Murugara to unconditionally withdraw this amendment and reaffirm the existing legal framework supported by public participation. The Law Society will continue to engage constructively, as provided under the Law Society of Kenya Act, to shape reforms in defense of our professional standards.
This is an open confession to electoral fraud , a criminal act under Kenyan law.
She is not just joking; she is boasting about betraying the will of the people. That alone should trigger investigations by the IEBC, DCI, EACC, and ODPP.
When leaders say such things publicly without fear of consequences, it means they believe they are above the law. That arrogance is bred by a system that protects theft of votes, of money, of dignity.
A Woman Representative is elected to serve her people not to become a loudmouth errand girl for stolen power. She represents mothers, youth, the voiceless, not ballot thieves.
