I'm really pleased and proud to tell you all ,that after years of hardwork by myself and Kevin Hollinrake MP, everything that leahs law is about has been amended into sentencing laws.
Mission 1 complete.
Mission 2 is to raise more drug awareness!!!!
@gmhales@PccJoyAllen@JayHarwin@kevinhollinrake@Sidwick4Dorset@AssocPCCs A slap on the wrist sentence does not make it less appealing for SOME to get caught up in drug dealing to children. If there are fewer, then the odds of a child like my daughter being killed can only be better for future generations.
Chris Phelp (Minister for crime and policing) is now looking into how the idea of Leah’s law could be introduced to the current legislation to help further protect young people. It’s very early days but we have our fingers crossed 💜
