Whilst conducting official government business, Malanji withdrew $11 million over the bank counter in a foreign jurisdiction.

$11,000,000.00 in wads of cash.

But he has been handed a simple sentence of 4 years?

A petty thief in Chipata gets 5 years for stealing a chicken.

The Lands and Deeds Registry Amendment Bill is back in the National Assembly for second reading.

Even after being overwhelmingly rejected at committee stage.

This infamous piece of legislation lacks national support.

It is one of the most unpopular bills ever presented before parliament.

It will open the floodgates of corruption, nepotism and political or personal retribution in land administration in Zambia.

And you will soon be victims and perish.

But it is still being bulldozed through.

Whose interest will it serve?

We can not vest such unchecked power of canceling land title deeds in one politically exposed junior officer at the Ministry of Lands.

This must alarm you as a Zambian wishing to own land or already owns land.

But how did Zambia get to a point of fantasizing and imagining an individual once convicted of a gruesome murder becoming a member of parliament?

This matter is gaining momentum. It should not be ignored.

People blinded by poverty and almsgiving are now openly romanticizing about a beneficiary of a presidential pardon in a capital crime sitting in the national assembly.

If this individual files in for nomination in the 2026 elections, I will take the Attorney General, ECZ and the candidate to the constitutional court.

A presidential pardon must come with limits.

Why should Zambia go from having the high caliber of Mundia Sikatana to ex-felons taking up key legislative positions?

And some Zambians are even gassing him up to run for the job. Shameful.

In Zambia, if you get paid K4500, it means you get paid so low that you are excused from paying PAYE . The government in other words is saying , hold on to the PAYE that we will use to build roads and infrastructure because YOU NEED IT MORE . I am telling you this because salaries are kept secret so people don’t really know how much is enough out there so am telling you , that the government is implying that 4500 is so low that you are not required to even pay .. that gives you atleast a starting point on what the market is like .

In order to live a life that even resembles slightly a middle class kind of life you will need to get more than K8,500 , I have not even calculated utilities, school fees and chilling for pleasure. You can even tell that am being very conservative .

BREAK EVEN SALARY

Rental in an okay looking house - K3,500

Transportation ( K75 X 22 days ) - K1,650

Lunch at work per month ( K35 X 22 days ) - K770

Groceries per month - K2,500

Total Fixed Costs Per Month - K8,420

So for you people getting offers in lusaka , make sure you are getting minimum K10000 before you come here because you will find yourself getting more money but living a lower quality of life than you did outside of lusaka . Just be aware of this fact"
