Labour, Tories, Lib Dems and Greens: I demand you stand down in Clacton. I will be a unity candidate and pledge to build at least one affordable house.
Nigel Farage says he wants The People versus the Establishment. So be it.
Leave him to me.
Farage declares the first past the post electoral system “not for for purpose”. Has he forgotten we had a referendum on electoral reform in 2011, and 68% voted ‘no’ to reform. Surely this is the ‘will of the people’ and can never be revisited? Or am I missing something?
SICK-NOTE CULTURE
Anyone would think that England had a huge problem with public spending on unemployment/pensions/sickness/social care
Always worth fact-checking a Tory
Because the Conservatives, who are healthy or wealthy, believe people who have needs are unworthy of support
I see the UK government has, under pressure finally had to reveal the cost of sending a refugee to Rwanda. £1.8 million per person. For that same cost of ONE individual an entire refugee processing centre could be built and staffed in France solving the boats problem overnight.
My Easter reading:
"..the Lord said I was hungry and you told me to make a meal for 30p, I was thirsty and you filled my water with shit, I was a stranger and you sent me to Rwanda, I was sick and you said I should get private health insurance..."
GP Referendum: 99.2% vote NO to contract imposition
In past decade:
💥2000 fewer GPs
💥1300 fewer surgeries
💥6,000,000 more patients
⏰ Time to call out the constructive dismissal of England general practice
What patients want to receive & what we want to offer ARE THE SAME:
***** BREAKING NEWS ****
GPs in England have overwhelmingly rejected the govt contract offer. ‘Do you accept the contract’
YES 0.8%
NO 99.2%
Turnout 61.2%
Over 2500 GPs joined @TheBMA in just 5 weeks. Incredible. Thank you. The committee is meeting now to discuss next steps
@SarahMillican75 I have two tickets to see you in Hull on Saturday 23 March (level 2 row A) that I would love to swap with someone coming on the Friday? Any chance of a retweet xx
“Let PAs take a simple history, examine & then discuss with a GP”
Short 🧵 to explain why this wouldn’t work…
GPs are highly trained diagnosticians. With no immediate investigations to hand, the diagnostic skill we use IS history taking & examination.

It is hard to feel compassion towards someone who goes abroad to support a radical group that detests our country's values, but she was clearly not bright enough to know better, and that's why I don't think Liz Truss should be stripped of her citizenship.
Conservative Govt NHS / Social Care plan
1. Starve the NHS/Social care of funding
2. Watch UK trained staff leave due to pay & working conditions
3. Bring in cheaper immigrants
4. Block immigration
5. Public NHS/Social Care fails
6. Force UK to private sectors run by friends
Today in Parliament we have laid an order to ban overseas care workers from bringing dependants.
This is just one part of our plan to deliver the biggest-ever cut in migration 👇

Why are waiting rooms are empty
They are not working
AEs are full because GPs aren’t seeing patients
They shut their doors during the pandemic
They are all part-time
They are paid too much
They no longer care

Which consultation option would you fund more?
Is it really hard to understand why GP practices are failing when they given just £165/year/person no matter how often they consult (20% less real terms than 2016)
This year GPs have been offered 1.9% more = £3
