@Konstantine_val@GenXAlumni1@RupertLowe10@RobertJenrick I never asserted that Black, Arab or Asian people built Britain. Rather, I stated that diversity has contributed to the development, defence and strengthening of the United Kingdom, over many generations. These are distinct arguments and should not be conflated.
@GenXAlumni1@RupertLowe10@RobertJenrick Many buildings and institutions in the UK were funded directly or indirectly by wealth generated through slavery. Your comment ignores a significant part of British history. Diversity has helped build, defend and strengthen the UK for generations. That is factual and reality.
@reformparty_uk It's a by-election in Gorton, not the fall of the Roman Empire. Claiming we’re 'losing the country' because you didn't win a seat in Greater Manchester is like saying the sun has exploded because you couldn't find a parking space at Tesco.
@jakepaul I'm British and even I'm aware you’ve got your departments mixed up. Calling ICE for a home burglary is like calling the Department of Agriculture because your neighbour’s dog barked at you. Unless the burglar is trying to smuggle an undocumented houseplant of course!
I’ve always been a strong supporter of the Good Law Project and the work you’ve done to challenge injustice and hold power to account. But on this particular issue, I just can’t agree.
Supporting women’s rights to privacy, dignity, and fairness in areas such as sport and single-sex spaces is not an act of transphobia. It is about recognising that equality must apply to everyone, and that protecting one group’s rights should not mean diminishing another’s.
Supporting equality should mean listening to all perspectives and ensuring that no one’s rights are overlooked in the process. I’ve stood with your causes because they’ve always championed fairness and reason.
My concern is that this legal challenge appears to overlook that necessary balance. I have always admired your commitment to justice and reason, but on this occasion, I fear that the approach risks deepening division rather than fostering understanding.
@stockfordn@LBC Yes a lot of migrant workers in Dubai are still brought in through misrepresentation of the Kafala system, particularly labourers. They live in squalor and they fear complaining due to reprisal or detention. It IS still happening, the labour camps are of a terrible standard.
