Shocking stat of the day:
The top 10 US stocks now have a combined market cap of $24.5 TRILLION.
This is 5 TIMES more than the total value of stocks in Europe’s broad Euro Stoxx 50 index.
The top 10 are also 5 and 6 times larger than the size of Germany’s and Japan’s economies, respectively.
Furthermore, the top 5 stocks’ market cap is larger than the economies of Germany, Japan, India, and the UK COMBINED.
Large cap US stocks are dominating.
@KobeissiLetter For context: the bottom 67% of population in the US owns 15% of the total wealth yet contributes 47% of total consumption expenditure.

We’ve officially entered buyback blackout season.
Roughly one-third of S&P 500 companies are already restricted from repurchasing shares as of today. That figure will climb rapidly, peaking near 80–85% by mid-October.
This matters because buybacks are one of the biggest sources of demand for equities. When the blackout window closes, that bid disappears, right as markets face earnings season, macro risks, and heightened volatility.
In other words, the largest buyer of stocks is about to step aside when liquidity is needed most.

"LLM users consistently underperformed at neural, linguistic, and behavioral levels"
This study finds LLM dependence weakens the writer’s own neural and linguistic fingerprints. 🤔🤔
Relying only on EEG, text mining, and a cross-over session, the authors show that keeping some AI-free practice time protects memory circuits and encourages richer language even when a tool is later reintroduced.
