Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed NH is remembered as the “Lion of Kargil.”

The 27th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed NH is being observed with respect and pride.

Captain Sher Khan was martyred on 5th July 1999, during the Kargil War in the defence of the motherland.

Ceremonies will be held in various cities to commemorate his martyrdom.

The main ceremony will be held in Swabi at the mausoleum of Captain Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed.

He belonged to the 90th PMA Long Course. He passed out and got a commission in the Sindh Regiment

At the time of his martyrdom, he was serving in the 12th Northern Light Infantry

The courage, leadership and bravery of the Kargil heroes will always be remembered

Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed NH was awarded Pakistan's highest military award, Nishan-e-Haider, for his courage and bravery in the Kargil War
