My friend bought medicines worth 2,180 yesterday.

She scanned UPI.

Chemist Said: “UPI karoge toh 15 extra lagega madam"

She knew the charge isn't even supposed to start until 15 October.

Still paid.

Why?

Her sick child was waiting at home. She wasn't going to stand there and debate MDR rules with a chemist for 15.

This is the ground reality Nirmala Sitharaman doesn't seem to understand.

Govt can charge merchant 8 rs and announce 50 times that “merchant cannot pass it to customer.”

This is India.

Govt will take 8 rs from merchant and merchant will take 15 rs from customer.

Your Parliament statement won't be standing next to every QR code.

That's why stupid policies designed on paper become even worse when they reach ordinary people.
