WATCH: Passengers restrain a man onboard a Frontier Airlines flight to Chicago's O'Hare on Sunday after he reportedly tried to open an emergency exit door in an attempt to jump off the plane mid-flight.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, Frontier Airlines flight 3345 heading from San Juan, Puerto Rico to O'Hare was diverted to Miami International Airport about 11:55 p.m. after the crew reported a passenger disturbance. The flight then landed safely in Miami, the FAA said.

Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-343 evacuated at Kathmandu Airport after a fire broke out in its landing gear upon arrival from Istanbul.

All 277 passengers ​and 11 crew ⁠arriving from Istanbul were evacuated using the ​emergency exits following the fire, and nobody ​was injured, Gyanendra Bhul, a Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal spokesperson said.

Turkish Airlines said smoke was observed in the landing gear while taxiing, and technical inspections ​had been ​initiated. "Initial assessments ⁠indicate that the smoke was caused by a technical malfunction in ​a hydraulic pipe," Yahya Ustun, the ​airline's ⁠senior vice president, communications, said on social media platform X.

Frontier Airlines A321, Flight 4345, struck and killed a pedestrian on DEN Runway 17L last night during its takeoff roll. The person had just jumped the perimeter fence and ran onto the active runway. The individual was hit about two minutes later near the mid-field area, far from the terminal in the outer perimeter section.

The crew aborted the takeoff near V1. A brief engine fire occurred due to ingestion, followed by smoke in the cabin. Everyone evacuated safely via slides, with 12 minor injuries reported.

Officials say it was a deliberate trespass. This tragic incident raises serious security questions. The NTSB and FAA are investigating.

The captain, a native of the area, was saying goodbye after 40 years of service and reportedly carried out the low-level pass while operating a Frankfurt-Keflavík service. According to the airline's Chief Flight Officer, the maneuver was conducted without management knowledge or approval and only came to light after the incident.
