This is Rakesh, he runs a used books stall in Andheri, Mumbai where you can rent a book for ₹10.
When asked if he earns enough doing this, he responded in a way that qualifies him to be what I call an avid reader.
His response was -"People earn so they can spend money on something they want. I am already surrounded by the one thing I always wanted to have".
For me, he is one of the finest avid readers as he is far from distractions of life and doing the one thing that satisfies him the most.
Drop a heart for him❤️
#WATCH | Nepal: Coordinator of Isha Sacred Walks, Maa Gambhiri says, "Sadhguru has returned to Nepal from Tibet. He is currently in Kathmandu... There was considerable pressure from the Government of India for Sadhguru to travel by air, but he has a different plan. In fact, he wants to visit the site (ground zero) where the incident occurred so that he can provide all possible assistance... Sadhguru wanted to travel by road..." (29.08)
Thank you @ani for this timely update. Thank you Maa Gambhiri. We stand, pray in solidarity for Nepal. Thank you @SadhguruJV for coming back safely and also making sure the 700+ ppl have a safe route back to Nepal.
#WATCH | Nepal | Coordinator of Isha Sacred Walks, Maa Gambhiri says, "We are trying to obtain various permissions. We are making every effort to make this happen, but unfortunately, things are not working out. Rescue operations are underway, and we are unable to secure the necessary clearances... Obviously, Sadhguru cannot do the work that the army can, but we want to reach there... Sadhguru neither wants to travel there by plane nor accept any other form of assistance..." (29.08)

@palepurshankar Namaskaram Shankar Sir. Watched the video mentioned above. Your words in 2024 were bang-on and portentous about the 2030-2035 permafrost warming disasters in Tibet. But they've unfolded even before. If only Tibet or Indian Govt had their own weather alert mechanisms for these.
@SadhguruJV Frightening flood. Never seen such fury. My heart goes out to all the bereaved families. I just wish and pray for the well-being of the survivors and they return home soon. Shambho.
VIDEO | Delhi: Sadhguru addresses Spiritual & Heritage Tourism Conclave at Akshardham Temple, says, "There is no apparent reason why Bharat should be one nation. People speak different languages, cook and eat differently, and even look different. Yet, we have been one nation for over 10,000 years. What holds us together is not race, religion or language, but diversity and, above all, our spiritual process. As long as the pursuit of liberation, mukti, moksha or nirvana continues, you belong to Bharat. It is fantastic that the Chief Minister is bringing this spiritual element to Delhi through a spiritual circuit. This spiritual ethos has kept us together for thousands of years. We have done a lot of damage to it in the last 75-80 years. It is time to bring it back into people's lives."

Now that JM issue is generally done and dusted, need a deep relook at this Reservation in Education. One group want it to continue, the politicians too, since removing it has major political implications. Another also wants Reservation, but based on EWS. And a third wants an end to it.
Meanwhile, the General Cadre (GC), suffers. For ease of understanding, we have a group that gets Reservation, Reservation Group (RG), with very low cut-off but jump over GCs with higher marks. In the long run, merit suffers and nation pays the price.
A out-of-box solution to resolve the Reservation and Merit quagmire.
1. Give a weighted average to the RG, who are considered under privileged.
2. Multiply this to the marks they have scored, and bring them relatively at par with GC.
3. Only one merit list.
How this works:
4. Say weighted average is 1.25.
5. Place merit bar at 75 percentile for GC.
6. Then equivalent score for IG is 60 percentile (60 x 1.25 = 75).
7. Now make a single Merit List.
8. Now, if vacancies are left, divide it pro-rata between GC and IG.
9. Bring merit down to 63 percentile for GC and 50 percentile (equivalent to 63) for IG.
10. Add to merit list.
11. Continue to iterate in same manner till all vacancies are filled.
12. In this day and age, with AI, can generate software to meet this requirement.
It will go a large extent to ease the concerns of GCs and merit needs.

(4/4) The closer these internal and external speeds match, the more the boundary between "self" and "environment" completely dissolves.
Now we know exactly what meditation does to the brain and why it works.

Congratulations @balachundhar & team.
Normally, the brain changes its speed depending on whether we focus inward (like meditating, slower speed) or outward (like doing a task, faster speed). But for advanced Isha Yoga meditators, the brain maintains almost the exact same speed for both. (3/4)
Hearty Congratulations Pazhanivel Sir. ♥️♥️♥️
