**Significant heat is on the way next week across the Midwest**

- Another heat wave is expected to develop late this week and continue into next week across the Plains and Midwest regions bringing dangerous heat and humidity. Across Illinois, highs in the 90s are likely early to middle of next week with heat index values well into the 100s. Highs could approach the 100 degree mark. One of the hottest patterns of the year so far according to the models. #ilwx
