@stevekrouse OpenAI probably put too many eggs in too many baskets, at least too soon (juggling Codex/Sora/image gen/etc). Plus, Google’s got so much infrastructure, aside from search, that makes it really difficult for people (or businesses) to put down. Still betting on OpenAI though
@curaffairs Well… actually, Israelis do mandatory military service, then a ton of them go backpacking in places like Goa where psytrance is huge. They bring that scene home, mix it with desert raves, and it kinda becomes part of the culture. That’s why Israelis go so hard for EDM
@NoQuartersUSA@JoySam04 About 8,000 ppl still live in the Aleutians across a handful of isolated towns. Life revolves around commercial fishing, seafood processing, the Coast Guard, research, and small local communities. Most of the islands, though, are completely uninhabited wilderness
@NProfessor93@_AlexHirsch@sama I’m not necessarily advocating for it; personally, I can’t see myself doing this with my kids. However, having a dad who’s extremely quiet, I could see how more introverted or anxious parents may benefit from something like this
I invested in $AMC a few weeks ago and the stock’s already up more than 30% since then. Media/Entertainment’s been hit hard the past year, but I think society’s slowly starting to crave it again. I foresee big changes in the industry to catch up with new consumer prefs/behavior
