@hanstitches_@NicholasAHollis Wait this would sound so awkward in the US - it’s overly formal. Putting please at the start of a sentence like that changes the tone completely. It almost makes it sound like you’re begging. We just say “Can/could I have XYZ, please?” It’s really just word order.
@FourSkinners@behrcalledbehr I also want to point out to people liking your tweet, considering yourself a leftist doesn’t mean that you’re excluded from being a racist. There are several black women in the QRTs and the comments who find arguments like this unnecessary, why aren’t you listening to them?
@SpectralAurora_@anonymous_tami People are not clowned on for their race preferences. Race preferences are vehemently accepted - also leave black women alone! We don’t deserve to be pawns in your arguments, it’s dehumanizing.
@dogfightin2@xoxosvts@cantsmokehere Never been to a Justin Bieber show? and no I’m gonna tell them “no sorry, there’s no room” and then they’re gonna find a different path, as they usually do. But if they want to get into it, sure, we can both get escorted out.
@cantsmokehere @vincianriddler You still showed up late, it’s up to the person that was there before you to decide on if they want to let you in front of them or not. If they say no, find another route to the front, not that hard.
@vincianriddler @cantsmokehere No…I just have basic concert etiquette. If someone has friends at the front, they can just say that. The issue is people like the OP who believe that they deserve to push to the front even when they show up late, that’s rude af
@BowAbongile@Cody96176029@keaaaaley Nobody “has” to be a surrogate lol. It’s a choice, and a VERY regulated one at that. You have to be in incredible physical and mental health to be one, it’s very strict and very choosy. They’re not picking up disadvantaged women off the streets to do this.
@Baziliov13 Who is this “you”? Stop generalizing. Ur someone who doesn’t live in the US, so your experience with the realities of American life are limited to what you see on Twitter. Most Americans understand that it’s not the greatest tragedy of all time. It’s hardly mentioned irl.
@Nelodiass@marielimal@lunaequaerite I promise you, no one in the US thinks it’s the greatest tragedy in human history. We all get up and go to work or school on 9/11 and no one really even mentions it anymore. Just because you see other Twitter users talking about it, doesn’t mean that it’s reality.
@seokrirangs@wendymy7 They use these at major festivals like Coachella, too! They seem pretty safe for the most part, and they really improve entry speed.
