Team Statistics: While Algeria actually controlled more of the ball with 53% possession and maintained a 93% passing accuracy, they failed to register a single shot on target against Argentina's backline. #Messi3
The Empire State Building's top was initially planned to be a docking station for airships in the late 1920s. Investors believed airships would soon be used for cross-Atlantic travel, and the building's top seemed perfect for docking.
The plan was for airships to land at the top, secure quickly, and let passengers walk into the building's top floor. Then, they could take an elevator down to Manhattan, arriving within seven minutes of landing. A docking mast was even built on the building.
However, engineers couldn't figure out how to safely dock an airship on a 1,250-foot building with strong winds. Airship companies considered the idea too risky, and interest waned. Still, a private blimp did dock for three minutes in September 1931, causing traffic jams below, but no unloading occurred.
The era of cross-Atlantic airships ended with the 1937 Hindenburg disaster, when the world's largest airship caught fire while landing in New Jersey.

Graham Hancock just dropped a devastating blow to mainstream archaeology with the Great Pyramid of Giza.
“It’s a 6 million ton monument… more than 2 million individual blocks of stone.”
“The Great Pyramid is aligned within 3/60ths of a single degree to true north… on a 6 million ton monument.”
“It sits almost exactly on latitude 30 which is 1/3rd of the way between the north pole and the equator.”
“And it incorporates the dimensions of the earth on a scale of 1 to 43,200 in its own dimensions.”
“So if you take the height of the Great Pyramid and multiply it by 43,200… you get the polar radius of the earth. Measure the base perimeter of the Great Pyramid… multiply it by the same factor, 43,200, and you get the equatorial circumference of the Earth.”
“Archaeologists know this. They say it’s a coincidence, total coincidence, just by chance.”
“However, I could agree with them actually if the scale was not 1 to 43,200. But the fact that it’s 1 to 43,200 changes everything because that belongs to a sequence of numbers that is found in ancient mythology all around the world… multiples of the number 72… derive from… the precession of the equinoxes.”
Partly cloudy skies and drier conditions overall today and Tuesday as high pressure moves into the region. Showers and thunderstorms could occur Wednesday afternoon and evening primarily east of I-81 ahead of a strong cold front that will transition into the region Thursday.
This is a cool look at how SoFi Stadium prepared to host eight World Cup matches (including the USMNT’s first match on home soil in 32 years). They had to remove seats and suites and then built an entirely new natural grass field with irrigation and drainage on top of the turf.
