Hi, I’m Chloe, this week I was diagnosed with ADHD (Inattentive) 👋🏼
I wasn’t planning on posting it on a platform where I don’t have many friends following - but the #ADHD community on Twitter has helped me feel understood and validated in what has been a 🤯😖😱😪😵💫😴 time!
Will people ever stop saying “the intern running the Twitter account?”
I’ve done paid social media work for 14 years. People get degrees in it now. And it tends to pay well. It’s so cringe to see people using 20 year-old tropes.
I’m truly so grateful for the wonderful people I’ve found along the way - the fantastic online #ADHD accounts & advocates providing much-needed support for #Neurodiversity, & my network of friends and family for accepting this huge (and terrifying) new journey I embarked on 🫶🏻
Today marks a whole YEAR since my ADHD diagnosis, it’s been the greatest but most challenging year of my life ✨
It’s hard to put into words how affirming, enlightening & life changing the diagnosis & acceptance has been - but it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! #ADHD#AdultADHD
I’m so glad I advocated and gave myself enough compassion to peruse something that I knew I needed.
And ofc, having the immense privilege to now access support and medication has made a VAST difference in my productivity (or lack of!) and understanding of my busy brain ✨☁️
These are deepest images of space history has ever seen. The universe is so powerful and every single one of us is a part of it. Thank you for sharing the universe’s magic with us @NASA. #UnfoldTheUniverse
I started my ADHD pills this week. I got diagnosed late in life (about 6 months ago)
And yoooooooo….Is this how you all have been living?
The amount of things I’m getting done is phenomenal.
This process has honestly changed my life lol
Please could my #TwitterFriends share and help support my lovely friends’ family in their aiding of refugees struggling in #Ukraine - any support would mean the world! Thank you ❤️
!! UKRAINE
i woke up at 5am today because of the sounds of explosions. and let me tell you, it was one of the scariest moments of my life. people are dying here for absolutely no reason. CIVIL PEOPLE. russia attacks houses, hospitals, shops etc. +
My yoga teacher always starts class with this line:
"Congrats. The hardest part is over. You showed up."
I feel like that mindset applies to most other things.
Worrying about a task often is far worse than the task itself. Starting is the hardest part.
Hello Twitter! Chloe here 👋
I'm writing this post in the first person as today marks my last day working for, and managing the social media accounts of #CreswellCrags. I'm really sad to be leaving the wonderful team, & have made so many memories in my time at the Crags ❤️ (1/2)
Okay, not doing SMART goals this year. The world's a mess. Time for FUN goals.
Flexible - Life happens, things change, goals shift.
Uplifting - Bettering myself isn’t a punishment.
Numberless - Life won’t be radically different if I read 29 books this year instead of 30.
No one told me about post ADHD diagnosis struggles. Such as always seconding guessing yourself, wondering if people you haven’t disclosed your ADHD to notice your mishaps, overthinking, imposter syndrome, the list goes on
