@martinimarie The 2024 changes related to how tax is handled, not to benefit rules. If a trust is set up properly ie it is a discretionary trust with good record keeping then there should be no problem after transition to UC.
@martinimarie I don't think the way Trust assets/income are included/not in benefits or social care calculations has changed. It has always been important to set up and admin trusts correctly so that capital/income cannot be ascribed to one person. UC are merely stricter at applying the rules.

@RaeA_Smith My dentist always runs late and apologises. When I respond 'Don't apologise, your waiting room is the first respite I have had since I saw you 6 months ago', she thinks I am exaggerating. I'm not.
@BeckyWhin I have been off of here for a while and this was the first news in my feed. Seeing A looking so amazing is just the best! Thank you for sharing. 🤩
Another post from @GeorgeJulian. This time about woeful displays of disrespect and competence in evidence given to the Lampard Inquiry. https://t.co/37ysrQEJAk
@BeckyWhin I hope today is better. I think it's all about the loss of control. Because our whole essence is about being in control of the universe. Lachrymal incontinence. 😅
@BeckyWhin No, you're ok - I did too! I don't quite understand what triggers these wobbles - we conquer mountains for our loved ones and then sob at a grinning gorilla, weird, eh!
@CPMumma79 When I was little my best friend told me that spiders run across you while you sleep and rub their Willies on your face. I have checked my bedroom ceiling every night since then and it is only recently, in my sixties, that I have found out that spiders don't have Willies... 😂
'Dementia is not the end of my life'. I've spent the past few months talking to people living with dementia & family carers about what matters & what helps support their wellbeing. After @alzheimerssoc awful advert this quote stuck in my head. The harm it must have done.
Fantastic intervention by @KeeleyMP who spoke of widespread concerns that removing learning disability and autism from the MHA "could lead to people being held under DOLS, and we must guard against that happening." Watch from 19:59 https://t.co/cAtEY2BaMN
