BREAKING: US threatens to cut off all intelligence sharing with Ukraine if it continues attacking Russian oil refineries, with Witkoff and Kushner telling the Ukrainian team in Miami that sharing could be cut off if Kyiv did not halt the strikes, calling it "a firm request from POTUS," per the FT.

A senior Ukrainian official directly rejects the request, saying "We will burn Russian refineries."

The Ukrainian team cut the trip short rather than hold a second round of talks, and hours later Ukraine struck an oil terminal in Rostov-on-Don.

Ukraine uses US intelligence for the long-range strikes on Russian refineries. A US official with direct knowledge says Trump decided on the diesel deal with Putin after Zelensky ignored 6 US requests to stop attacking them.

Not a single mainstream opposition politician has the courage to speak out against the abuse of elephants in religious processions. They didn't even challenge the Mahanayakas when one of their own was accused of raping a child. So why expect them to stand up for elephants? 🤣

“Someone , during my school days, shared a lesson that has stayed with me:

‘If you aren’t a socialist at 18, you don’t have a heart. But if you’re still a socialist at 40, you don’t have a brain.’

With time, I’ve come to truly understand the depth of this wisdom. In our youth, we are driven by idealism, compassion, and a desire to change the world qualities that give rise to dreams of fairness and equality. But as we grow older, experience teaches us that real solutions require pragmatism, responsibility, and difficult decisions.

The real challenge is striking the right balance, staying compassionate without being naive and being pragmatic without becoming cynical. A heart without a brain leads to idealism without results, while a brain without a heart risks losing sight of humanity.

True leadership lies in blending both: caring deeply while thinking critically.
