@suedetrades@madaznfootballr True, thatβs why I never short stocks above pre-market highs. I wait for backside and then short the bounce. I never try and guess the top.
@suedetrades@madaznfootballr Nothing wrong with it if you implement rules. This stock was a heart attack but stocks like $LNAI which is a nano cap was an easier play. You just have to know which stocks to avoid.
I did some studying after and looked back at previous red day setups and noticed that many that go green at the open then red tend to go back to green so itβs good to take quick profits instead of holding all day. #daytrading#trading#stocks
Shorted $ASST this morning on day 3 after it went red and bounced to 8.50 res then went down again. Was up 17% when it went down to the 6.60s but thought it could go to 6.00 so I held. I donβt trade this setup often so my lack of knowledge caused me to stop out for breakeven β.
First trade this week on $ZKIN, which is a China stock up on no news (13.6% return) β I shorted a little late because I had problems with TZ trying to locate shares. I couldnβt accept the locate, it kept saying pending. Once I realized I didnβt have sufficient funds, I located
my plan was to cover only 60% at 1.40 and hold 30% for break below but I changed my mind last minute and regret it now as it went down to 1.25, so I underperformed today. If my plan was to cover 30% for another 1R I should have done that and not change my plan.
in lots which worked but then I shorted 5c below my target price. It was annoying holding 10.12am to 10.41am as I wasnβt sure if it was going to go back up. Lucky it worked out and I covered two lots close to 1.40 support which was also the low of the day which was a mistake, as
@forex_lozz@TraderDivergent Exactly. I can only use the 1 min then confirm on the 15m, 1hr then daily. Different things work for different people. Don't have the patience to swing and will likely make mistakes. For me, the 1 min time is more than enough time to make decisions, especially when plan is set.
$KIDZ - early afternoon short squeeze. Glad I got out when I did. Thatβs why itβs always good to have a target where youβre going to cover and get out. Not every stock is an all day fader. #shortsqueeze#daytrading#trader#trading#investing#finance
Took three trades this week. $IVF 4/30 β $KIDZ yesterday β and today β . First two were losses but today I made back about 75% shorting $KIDZ on day 2. I underestimated how far it could go so covered too early as usual. Need to remember day 2 plays can go down further than you.
Shorted $AREB this morning, 4.26 average sell and 4.03 average cover for 5.36% return β I would give myself a C grade for not focusing and missing my target entry closer to 4.60. I had my lines drawn pre-mkt but when the market opened I decided to look at new stocks which were..
3.80/3.60 area which wouldβve given double-digit returns which is my goal. Since itβs up 3 days, it has a good chance of going red and the pattern showed it. Oh well, green is green, just need to keep improving and be more focused!
