The Barbaric act upon Kuki Women in L. HENGJOL Kangpokpi Dist, this morning was led by SP Kangpokpi. He should serve the people with pride and honour. Despite, he leads his team in a wrong way...@EastMojo@adgpi@IndiaToday@IndiaTodayNE@ndtv
The occurrence of a year-long period of uncontrolled violence caused by armed gangs reportedly supported and protected by the government against minority groups is a heinous crime against humanity and civilization. These gangs have committed unspeakable acts of barbarism and violations of human rights, such as rapes, assaults, arsons, mass lynchings, killings, and mutilating dead bodies, sometimes even in the presence of security personnel, without any intervention. These atrocities go against human nature and understanding, turning society into a Hobbesian state of nature without any law or justice.
In response, the minorities also reacted violently against these gangs in their strongholds, retaliating in kind out of anger and a desire for revenge. The conflict took on ethnic and religious colors, destroying places of worship and dividing communities between the tribals and non-tribals, and Christians and Hindus, reigniting old wounds that have existed for centuries in the most ferocious manner unparalleled in their history.
Since May 3rd, 2023, the KukiZo and Meiteis communities have been separated both psychologically and physically due to security reasons. KukiZos are not allowed to visit Imphal or any other Meitei-dominated areas in the state, while Meiteis cannot visit KukiZo areas like Churachandpur, Moreh, or Kangkopi. The refugees are still living in temporary camps. This separation results from the state's apathy, incompetence, and discriminatory treatment of its citizens. The people are being divided for political and personal agendas detrimental to national interests. The Indian government should immediately resolve these issues and restore peace and normalcy in the state. If the political situation in the border states, such as Ladakh and the northeast, is unstable and fluid, it could attract foreign intervention, causing harm to the nation.

While the festival of democracy took place across the country, The #Kuki tribals stand strong to boycott the ongoing Lok Sabha election, due to which the #BJP4India government denied our rights as citizens.

My Kuki cousin left a message to the Imphal Meitei looters, way back in May 2023 when he departed in haste.
The Meitei are still looting in April 2024!!
“Please do not steal again in the future. Spread love wherever you go, Christ is the head of this house, the unseen guest”…🙏🏼
Have you witnessed anything like this in the 21st century, where innocent Kuki Village volunteers who are safeguarding their villages are attacked, bombed, killed and their bodies dragged on the ground, while others celebrate over the deceased with their slogan “Yaiphare”?
Two Kuki Zomi women from Manipur’s Kangpokpi district were allegedly gang-raped and murdered on the same day, the two women in the viral video were paraded naked.
