@Davey_Baseball Insane take. Only similarities are they’re lefties and can hit for power. Tucker elite and proven in plate discipline, contact, hitting for average, etc. They could have done these video at bat comparisons with Mervis and a couple years ago too and a million other big lefties lol
@LaurenceWHolmes@JasonChirempes I get that. Only been 2 games but I think Caleb just does that stuff at a different level. Why he was touted as high as a prospect as he was. No hate for Justin but don’t think it’ll take long before it’s very clear why the decision was made to move on to Caleb
@LaurenceWHolmes@JasonChirempes Simply pointing out the rare ability to extend plays and have a throw first mindset while having arm to talent to make any throw. I agree not trying to peg him anything yet, just encouraging to notice that similarity in real time
@LaurenceWHolmes@JasonChirempes Sure lol. Wilson/mahomes/allen/rodgers. All had/having pretty good careers id say. Not locking Caleb in as a HOFer but he shares that trait with those guys that most don’t
@LaurenceWHolmes@JasonChirempes Cmon man. Think a little deeper here. Anytime fields broke away from the pocket 98% of the time his eyes went straight down. It’s obvious Caleb breaks the pocket to extend the play and looks to throw. Exactly why Mahomes is so hard to defend, clear Caleb has that rare trait
Well, we won yesterday and I did a giveaway so we must do another one.... IF the Cubs win tonight vs the Rays by 4 OR MORE runs (a comfortable win) I will give 1 person who RTs this 2 bleacher tix to a Cub game at Wrigley of your choice. No RTS after first pitch will count.
