At the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican, Ambassador @UrujeniB presented her Letters of Credence to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, officially commencing her mission as Rwanda’s Ambassador to the Holy See.

Ambassadors from Bangladesh, Chad, Mauritius, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka and Yemen also presented their Letters of Credence.

Rwanda and the Holy See maintain longstanding relations grounded in shared values, dialogue and cooperation.

Révérien Rurangwa-Muzigura (born June 3, 1978) is a Rwandan-Swiss author and a survivor of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.

#Literary #Work: He is best known for his memoir, "Génocidé" (translated as Genocide: The Memory of a Survivor), which provides a harrowing account of surviving the genocide that claimed the lives of 43 members of his family, including his parents and siblings.

#Survival: During the genocide against the Tutsi , #On April 20th 1994, 43 members of his closest family was brutally murdered in the genocide against The Tutsi. He was severely injured, including the loss of his right hand and eye, and left for dead among the bodies of his family members.
