I know this probably sounds haughty and perhaps it is, because I'm sure the authors who make these mistakes are earnest creatives and love the subject matter. but I deeply appreciate a well proofread piece. 😅

I really do try to give fanfics a chance if the premise sounds cute, but if they can't write worth a shit it's really a struggle for me to read. I can't keep mentally correcting every grammar mistake when they're all over the place, it's way too much work just to read something.

Nearly started the second chapter of one that had a poor grasp on tense (kept going back and forth between present and past tense) and the prepositions were often wrong, and it was miserable. The idea! Was cute! The dialogue was cute! The writing... noe...
