"...a massive system of patronage, where corporations are circumventing campaign finance laws to buy favors from the Trump administration"
And we allow this. Shameful.

@bernardjhuang Built app running 5 risk models, going on ~20 days of trading. Runs 3x per day at the moment. Just fake trades, but it can be connected to brokerage via API. Was up over 10% on one profile before recent crash vs markets only up about 2% over same time period. Pretty fun!
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

people aren't visiting your pages anymore
cuz of AI Search - Google not getting enough page level user interaction signals and there goes Google algos deciding to drop those pages out of index.
This is ahistorical nonsense. Christianity did not give the world religious freedom. The Crusades, the Inquisition, centuries of persecution, forced conversions, executions for heresy, state churches punishing dissenters — that’s the actual historical record.
“It’s immoral to be privileged in ways that others aren’t” is a deeply funny statement from the richest man on earth personally responsible for the deaths of millions of children
Today, Google released the May Core Update. This update will classify all non-Google websites as spam.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
Mass content theft at scale.
Google wins, YOU lose.
Google dated SEOs for 20+ years, then they went for a divorce and now are taking clicks with them.
Gemini was trained off of billions of documents across the web with no repurcussions for Google but massive repurcussions for the people who relied on clicks to their website to generate an income.
This isn't exciting or fun, it's downright offensive.
If Gettyimages can come after you for a single unlicensed image, what would happen to Google for the 100bn+ documents it has used to train gemini on?
Scraping websites and having AI summarize them, so that no one visits the websites, is theft.
Training AI on videos, so that it can make new videos that compete with them, is theft.
We are witnessing the largest theft of creative work in history.
[NEW DATA] Can Gmail influence AI Search?
We seeded brand mentions into accounts connected to Google Personal Intelligence.
In AI Mode, those brands were 46 points more likely to appear than the control, rising from 23.9% to 66.8%.

Here's how the corruption works:
Thursday: RJ Reynolds donates $5M to Trump
Saturday: Trump invites RJR execs to Mar a Lago; execs ask to loosen regs on flavored vapes; Trump calls up RFK Jr. and tells him to change it
Friday: FDA changes the policy

terrible. 20 yrs ago, the internet was full of hobbyist blogs and forums. over time, these have been replaced by paywalled substacks and private discord channels, each a walled garden. google's decision to prioritize AI just makes it less likely ppl will create free, public info
Google has already wiped out thousands of websites with its "Helpful Content Update".
Now it's setting up the final blow coming for the rest. Content theft on an unprecedented scale.
