It's #NationalDogDay, everyone.
Please send us photos of your #dogs—whether at @chq or not—for us to look at while we work.

As the #CHQ2022 Summer Assembly continues, we remember our beloved friend David McCullough w/ one of the many #Chautauquotations he conveyed during his years at @chq. His words, we feel, speak not only to Week 8's theme—"New Profiles in Courage"—but to our community at this time.
As our community recovers from the attack on Salman Rushdie and Henry Reese, we will post updates with the latest information about program, grounds access, ticketing & gate pass procedures, and other information pertinent to our patrons and the media to https://t.co/qWAdqqajSX.
We ask for your prayers for Salman Rushdie and Henry Reese, and patience as we fully focus on coordinating with police officials following a tragic incident at the Amphitheater today. All programs are canceled for the remainder of the day. Please consult the NYS Police statement.
Congrats to the CLSC Class of 2022! We could not have been prouder or more in awe over the beauty of our historic Recognition Ceremony! May our graduates never stop learning from literature nor from each other. Keep an eye out for more moments from Recognition Day! #CLSC2022
The collective heart of Chautauquans the world over is heavy as we mourn the loss of America's premier storyteller & historian David McCullough. As he graced our stages & conversation spaces, he made us better. May @chq always aspire to be the ideal community that David saw in us
Today (8/9) at 3:30 PM in the Hall of Philosophy at @chq, @LBJFoundation President and CEO Mark K. Updegrove will present "Incomparable Grace: JFK in the Presidency" as the next lecture of the #CHQ2022#CHQHeritageLecture Series.
What is the 21st-century American home?
The #CHQ2022 Summer Assembly will address this and other questions during Week 7–"More than Shelter: Redefining the American Home."

During Week 6 of the #CHQ2022 Summer Assembly—"After Dark: The World of Nighttime"—@chq looks to understand the mysteries of nighttime and celebrate the possibilities of #Chautauqua after dark.
