A couple things:
1) Thank you to everyone who reached out. I woke up to over 500 DMs and texts from friends. I’m overwhelmed by your kindness and concern.
2) This morning I woke up early and went to a men’s Bible study and talked about this doubt.
I’m a doubter by nature. Always have been… I’m a scientist after all.
Here’s where I’ve landed, at least for today.
I don’t think that doubting is the opposite of faith, i think indIfference is.
If I didn’t care whether this was true, I wouldn’t be worried about it, wrestling is evidence that something in me won’t let it go.
As a friend pointed out to me this morning: Thomas doubted and Jesus didn’t scold him for it. He showed him His hands.
I forgot about that.
3) I’m not going to pretend I have this resolved. I’m going to keep showing up, keep reading, keep asking the questions.
If you’re in the same place and you’ve been too embarrassed to say it… based on my inbox this morning, there are a lot more of us than you think.
Thank you for the encouragement ❤️

Corporate worship is designed to progressively decimate your little kingdom of one and excite in you a love for the King of Kings and a commitment to the work of his kingdom.
Yoga *cannot* be separated from the New Age. I used to think “what’s wrong with stretching?” but yoga is not just stretching. If you think it is, you’ve never attended a yoga class or gotten to know someone who is deep in it.
To the people who think Christians are weird, you're right. Let me explain why I celebrate the day my God died.

As you start new resolutions, remember:
Spiritual disciplines are not about making you more precious to God. They’re about making God more precious to you.
