Public funding for healthcare only makes a difference when people understand how it works and what it means for the care they receive.
As conversations around the @TheBHCPF continue, Nigerians need to know not just that the fund exists, but how it is meant to support their local health centres and what to look out for when they seek care.

Artificial intelligence can help public health experts identify potential disease outbreaks, analyse complex medical data and explore possible treatments. But how do we ensure that these tools support good decisions rather than replace the human judgement needed to make them?
At #WHS2026 in Berlin, a panel discussion on preparing future public health leaders explored why technical knowledge alone is not enough.
Our latest dispatch looks at why human judgement remains essential as #AI becomes more integrated into public health, and why stronger health systems are needed to turn information into responsible action.
