@GlenCottingley @runwithcuan @seaningle Sorry but the argument doesn't work. The 'tech' doesn't appear to be any different to existing spikes. Very different than the issue with high stack carbon plate road shoes. Wavelight far more of an advantage here

@seaningle What exactly is controversial about the spikes? There is no carbon plate (and, in any event, nearly all spikes have a plastic plate) and the foam is made from pebax which is now widely used.

@russell_runner Sorry, I was a bit unclear. It's not his home at all. Nor is No.10. PM when in office doesn't live in his or her personal home. It's No.10 when working, Chequers otherwise. What is he supposed to do? Return to No.10? I see your point but wouldn't have drawn the same comparison.

@russell_runner Not sure the analogy works. PM effectively lives at work. No.10 clearly not best place for PM to recover. It's not his 2nd home, it's the residence available to all PMs. He hasn't gone to his private residence. Not the same as a going to a 2nd home or on holiday.
