My hot take on this is that England should actually play more pink ball tests and not fewer. It could help with problems around bad light stopping play and be attractive to international tv audiences, particularly Australia/India

I think this is broadly speaking true, players have played badly and should take the brunt of the criticism, but it’s shortsighted to not look at the fact that a number of these player have hardly played 50 over cricket outside of a handful of ODIs
