Too often, I’m dreaming about what kind of person I can become for God to use me in so many different ways.
Too often, it’s me, me, me.
Too often, it’s not, “God, how do you want to use this life today?”
“I’m simply saying to teach God’s Word. Evangelize using God’s Word. Disciple people using God’s Word. And then, when you launch a public service, preach God’s Word.” It seems to me that God is at the center of launching healthy churches.
I’m writing a sermon on Ephesians 2 and I’m working on my second point and tears come to my eyes every time I read “but because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ.” How am I supposed to preach this without crying?
“We think of missionaries as God’s “super servants,” Jesus’ Navy Seals. The word “missionary” is never used in the Bible, however, not even once. That’s because all of God’s people are sent. So the question is no longer if we are sent, only where and how.” #gainingbylosing
