If you are not speaking out on issues, understand this. Not making a political statement is, in and of itself, a political statement. It says “I’m fine with the way things are, and there is nothing to improve.” This is the message your silence is sending to those around you.
@hernandez8309 @DemocratRick12 @RyanAFournier You are quite literally the first person I’ve seen or heard suggest there would be any sort of replacement for Social Security if it were eliminated. Has Musk, Trump, or any prominent Republican suggested that? Can you point me to where they have?
@AAzgodeth@UncleBuck65@wcbuecker@TheRickWilson Also, I’m pretty sure that “and” wasn’t to imply that Trump is part of the court system, but rather just indicating his relationship to it, in the sense that he’s been able to go unpunished, or with lesser punishment, simply by virtue of being who he is.
@AAzgodeth@UncleBuck65@wcbuecker@TheRickWilson The court system is an entirely separate branch. The President isn’t “in charge” of it regardless of who’s in office, just as they’re not “in charge” of the legistlative branch. That’s not to say they don’t have influence, especially when they appointed 3 of the SCOTUS justices.
I’ve got to say @deadmeatjames I did not expect the Farmer Jax joke! If I had been drinking anything at that moment, it would have been a definite spit-take! Well played!
@AprilAbigailWu @MelissaJPeltier@gtconway3d In a Presidential election, the only metric that truly matters is Electoral College votes. That much was made very clear in 2016. Everything else is useful in understanding the results, but that’s it. Counties are an arbitrary metric with little meaning at this level.
@bitcloud@hankgreen But humans already were verified. The new “verification” system does nothing of the sort. The old system may have had some flaws, but this one doesn’t meaningfully address any of them.
@dynomite_jones@hummingbirder@TheRickWilson It wasn’t even an ad. They sent an influencer a personalized can to help her celebrate a personal milestone, and she shared it with her audience.
@ItsPopsy_@BaseballCresant He’s literally saying he cares more about his own ego than the life of this child. He sees a parent who’s already going through one of the hardest things a parent can go through, and takes it as opportunity to brag about his own wealth AND force the parent to lose their dignity.
@SinfulBehaviors@XiaoYueMaoMao @MickTheebs @JUNlPER The whole story starts out talking about him having a 14-year-old classmate in COLLEGE. And asking her out! Have some reading comprehension.
@TreasureLooker @SirJediSentinel @MrMythic5 Hate toward trans people is literally the definition of transphobia. And don’t give me that crap about “phobia” meaning “fear,” because we’ve been using it to also mean hatred/aversion since at least the 1800s.
Glad you admit JK’s hatred of trans people is awful, though.
@stevenmackey @AngryRetBanker @VaushV@MattWalshBlog He’s already gone on Tim Pool at least twice now. He debated Charlie Kirk one of those times. Is he supposed to fly from California to wherever Pool is holed up every week? And has he had any opportunity to debate Walsh that he’s turned down? What constitutes “relevant”?
