How the fuck are people on minimum wage supposed to survive in the UK?

Not everyone can "get a better job."

Not everyone has a partner to split the bills with.

Not everyone can move back in with their parents.

Someone has to stack the shelves, clean the hospitals, serve the food, work the tills and keep the country running.

So why are so many of those people working full time and still unable to comfortably afford the basics?

We've somehow accepted that if you're on minimum wage, you're just supposed to struggle.

Work all week.

Watch your entire payslip disappear on rent and bills.

Then spend the rest of the month hoping nothing goes wrong.

If you genuinely think minimum wage is enough to live on by yourself, explain how. I'd love to hear the maths.
