Meet Leon El-Alamin, a Democrat-endorsed sitting City Councilmember in Flint, MI. He was previously involved with violent gang activity and served 7 years in prison for weapons and drug charges.
A newly surfaced video from 2022 allegedly shows El-Alamin approaching one of his tenants' homes to evict them while wielding an AK-style firearm. This was reportedly related to an ongoing court dispute over the property.
He is currently running for re-election for the 1st Ward in Flint. His election is November 5th.
