The NFL MVP conversation has turned into “Well, it’s his turn to win now.”
Making up stats and ignoring what the tape shows you just because some people want the guy they said would win MVP to win MVP.
It’s dishonest.
It’s okay to have a different opinion, but at least have it based in facts and honest analysis.
I’ve always said stats are like bikinis. They show you a lot, but they don’t show you everything.
That’s why it’s VERY EASY for me to say Josh Allen had a legendary year this year.
When you watch the tape, you see what the stats don’t say.
He proved that he didn’t need Stefon Diggs to have success in the same way that Patrick Mahomes proved he didn’t need Tyreek Hill.
Mahomes won a Super Bowl that year and we will see if Josh Allen can do the same.
Josh Allen is the MVP of the Buffalo Bills and in most years would easily be the pick for NFL MVP as well.
BUT ITS OKAY to admit that Lamar Jackson had a better year top to bottom.
ITS OKAY to admit that Lamar Jackson is the Most Valuable player in the NFL this year and has always been the Most Valuable player on the Ravens team since he was drafted there.
There is no way you watched Lamar play this year and said to yourself there was anyone playing better. For a 4-5 game stretch? Sure. But not the entirety of the season though.
Both players are out of this world.
Every NFL MVP race is different.
It’s NOT all about the stats.
But in this case…
The numbers don’t lie.
The tape don’t lie.
And the Coaches that face them ain’t lying either.
Lamar Jackson should be the NFL MVP.
I was ordering a black coffee from Starbucks and the barista noticed my dark MAGA hat.
She said "you know now the price of avocados are going to go up because of your vote"
Other ppl clapped and my 8 yr old daughter clapped back saying "I'm proud that my daddy cares more about women not getting raped in this country by illegal aliens than the price of Mexican avocados, most of which we already grow here in California. I know you're just a barista but that should not stop you from getting informed about the realities of our situation and not what you're brainwashed into believing from the community college you attend."
The whole coffee shop went silent, I have never been more proud.
Tomorrow marks potentially the most important day of our lives.
I’m a bit nervous but I do think the right result will happen. The Ravens bring in a pass rusher at the deadline.
This is exactly what Tom Brady was referencing when he talked about good Quarterbacks not putting their receivers in dangerous situations.
Derek Carr just sent Chris Olave to the hospital.
Officiating mobile quarterbacks involves additional considerations compared to traditional pocket-passers.
In #BALvsCLE, Lamar Jackson extended the play with a juke, and a defender extended his leg to tackle him. This should have been penalized as tripping since there was no whipping motion with the leg.
If there was whipping motion, it would be a foul for a leg whip. Both are 15 yard penalties.
