Housebound with CFS/ME ---Will shall be the sterner, heart the bolder, spirit the greater as our strength lessens---
Wheeltapper and occasional iconoclast.
@kaishajayneh@HannahRadenkova When I'm tired but want something to eat, I default to breakfast, whatever the hour.
Cereal, toast tea/coffee. 3pm or 3am.
@VwkNicolas@SynicalClinical@Arwenstar " those who".. DECISIVELY PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM THE EXPERIMENT."
Well, that's what they think they are doing.
I had the yellow card system sitting on my desk as part of my normal practice, I know it is a question raising alert system, not, of itself, any produce of conclusions.
@VwkNicolas@Arwenstar "Christopher " has caused me odd moments, being an ex-Christian atheist. "Ex-Christian" alone is enough for a theological kerfuffle.
Did you know that in some traditions St Christopher was a dog-headed giant?
Wheel-tapping has mainly gone... electronic. https://t.co/lwanIk245v
@Hunter1_lj@CaraLisette Yes. The relationship was as "good friends" before and after.(no, not "friends with benefits" .
I remember some conversations without limits, in the dark, back to back.
More a meeting of minds than a meeting of skin.
@AdvKiwi @AP That image did cross my mind.
A fighting retreat down the Khyber Pass hardly affords cheery prospects, either, by precedent.
I saw this coming years ago, but not at this incredible pace.
Afghanistan has barely been a single country since the Russians pulled out.
@JackWil19189260 @larnswick Care to offer a little list?
I won't accept #Brexit, not by labelling it right or wrong, but simply on the grounds of the utterly incompetent and ill-prepared way it was carried out, from the referendum on...
@Dantheman392@Reuters 2/2 that was adequate, and then proceeded to to do something very similar in Iraq.
Remember the collapse of the reformed, retrained Iraqi Army in the face of the the Al-Qaeda/Isis insurgency?
Over optimistic, under-planned, under prepared. In both places.
@Dantheman392@Reuters Because the central Afghan government failed to make use of its chance, after the expulsion of the Taliban, to establish a fair, honest, nation-wide government. They failed, and it was factionalism and corruption, amongst other factors, that did it. The Americans had no plan 1/2
@GirlsOwn The "official" line was that the tea stall had mistaken her contender for the grand baking prize as a "donation."
That it had literally "gone down well" was no consolation at all. The rumours had been tight. Rigged, it was all rigged!
"The Taliban and the Afghan government talk 'transition of power'"
As yet unconfirmed accounts suggest that the Government terms are principally
"As long as we get to leave with our loot."
