There’s always a certain quiet majesty about polling day. There’s a brief moment - before the exit polls start filtering through - when the tangible equality of everyone having a single vote of equal value levels the playing field. One person one vote is a beautiful thing.
This all makes me think, more than I even suspected, that those of us who look at the world through Twitter have very little idea indeed of how how narrow and partial a view we’re getting.
