@MartinSLewis I’d love to know the historical timing of rises. I would hazard a guess that over the years there may have been a disproportionate number of rises in the approach to, and during, winter, when usage is naturally higher? If so, are we talking coincidence, or, “coincidence”?
Nicola Sturgeon here, in an interview during the Salmond inquiry, literally reading archived WhatsApp messages aloud from a phone that only yesterday she told inquiry under oath she deleted the messages from every day since 2007.

One issue has bothered me for a while now. This idea because we disagree on the future of Scotlands position in the UK it means we have to disagree on every single issue we have. That’s why we now have such a divide in society. If you want independence it doesn’t mean you have to defend the gov on every policy in gov surly we can agree about important issues like education, health, local councils, ferries, corruption without being so tribal. It’s this huge divide that’s stopping us from fixing and holding the gov accountable it’s what has allowed the situation to develop into what we see now. If a gov isn’t held accountable it becomes lazy and corrupt. If we all came together for the sake of the next generation on very important every day issues and demanded better from our gov we’d be in a better place I’m sure that’s what we all want. The only issue we seem to all agree on is the GRR bill which the majority of Scots don’t want so if we can do it with that then why not other just as important issues.
If the home of a newly resigned PM had been raided by police and their spouse - the Party CEO - arrested, the airwaves would be be choked with furious Tory MPs demanding answers. I haven’t heard a cheep out of any serving SNP MP or MSP. Where’s the internal challenge? Unhealthy.
10 days ago I sent Chancellor @Jeremy_Hunt a letter (below) asking him to postpone the govt's 20% increase in energy bills on 1 April.
Since, SEVENTY major charities (below), & the energy industry trade body have signed up to support the letter.
IF YOU SUPPORT THE CALL PLS RT
SNP/Greens could have selected anything to debate on our first day back: teacher strikes, NHS crisis, climate emergency, but none of these matter to them. It's all about trying to reheat a dying argument for the break up of the UK.
No wonder I'm angry.👇
1st time since started watching football I’ve not watched opening #FIFAWorldCup game.Wouldnt be bothered if I didn’t see a single match. Can’t be arsed with all nations feigning disgust at Qatar-if that bothered, they wouldve boycotted; which every1 shouldve done at the start.
Don't worry though, when it comes to setting up a central bank, treasury, debt management office & 100-odd other govn't agencies in the 18 months to 2 years from October 2023, they'll get that done no bother. 😬

Staff are stretched to the limit. This is dangerous and a huge risk to patient safety. @HumzaYousaf has been warned time and time again but fails to act. He clearly is incapable of managing this crisis.
Boris Johnson shd mark the final end of the old British system. He demonstrated ruthlessly how much damage can be done by someone refusing to respect unwritten rules. We need a written constitution. A new electoral system. And far better leaders @RestIsPolitics
@Ianblackford_MP As correct as this statement is, your lack of self awareness sits you right next to Bo Jo. You to, should be gone for condoning and defending the indefensible.
