Excited to read @lesondugrisli new book on Eric Dolphy

[Rolling Stone @RollingStone]

Richard Davis, the prolific bassist who adorned jazz classics by Pharoah Sanders, Eric Dolphy, and Andrew Hill and laid the musical foundation for Van Morrison’s Astral Weeks, has died at the age of 93. https://t.co/nT0jKxCGgW

@lesondugrisli Yes please - thank you!

[Christopher Gold @chrisgolddd]

@lesondugrisli Very excited to read this - where can it be purchased or pre ordered?

[Zachary Woolfe @zwoolfe]

Finally he declared, with an air of hesitation, “I love the Yankees, too.” https://t.co/vORvfb3fbp

@RichardScheinin @Mark_Stryker How did Rampal sound in person? Did you get to hear him play any Bach?

[Christopher Gold @chrisgolddd]

@Mark_Stryker Sunday September 13th, 1953 would be mine:

[Wendell Pierce @WendellPierce]

When I first came to NY, Art Blakey was a mentor. I was living off & on with Wynton & Branford Marsalis when they were in the Jazz Messengers. In the clubs, watching and listening to Art Blakey was a nightly master class in artistry. Off the bandstand he was a source of wisdom

As we approach 2023, I ask all of us to count our blessings and to look for the GOOD things in life just like my childhood friend Joey DeFrancesco did. When you play or listen to music, let it inspire you to do something constructive. ❤️🙏🏾 🕊️

[Christopher Gold @chrisgolddd]

@RichardScheinin Ha that’s wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
