@AmericanAir just sat on a plane trying to depart Chicago O’Hare 4 well over the 2 hour legal limit. Never offered snack or drink. Never updated as required by law. One person got a snack because she loudly complained while the rest of us waited patiently. Very disappointed.

Only recently have Ohio Baptists entered a partnership but that only means they recommend Cedarville. Cedarville receives no money from the SBC. Independent college.

@krassenstein Truly, for clarification. Sasser was not a pastor. Depending on a church’s polity, an elder can be a layperson which the senior pastor of the church has confirmed was the case here. Sasser was a lay elder and a volunteer leader, not a pastor.

@erichoke If he wants to be a pastor, this is a great teachable moment. Politely explain that as a pastor, everyone wants your time. Pastors must figure out ways to balance that. As a part of my balance and to protect my family, I don’t reschedule after the third missed appt.

Some young Christian leaders are convinced that they’ve got it all figured out. I laugh & confess I too was quick to condemn. I have the same standards. but with some age, I’m less likely to respond in anger & more likely to respond in compassion & sadness for our broken world.
