Today has been so depressing. The more news we get of our youth being lost to the murderous Tatmadaw, the more stressed I feel about how their lives are being traded for no outcome :( #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

This 19yo protestor was shot and killed by military thugs today in Mandalay. Her shirt says “Everything will be OK”. Coca Cola bottle in her hand is to help to those who got hit by tear gas.

She sacrificed her life to teach us there is a hope.

This is a must-win revolution.

I’ve seen two pictures of one of today’s victims in Mandalay. In the first she is bravely defending her right to protest in the battle for democracy. In the second she had been shot and killed. I’m told she was 19 years old.

I’ve seen the pictures of the boy from Myingyan and like many of my colleagues I won’t be sharing them. It’s widely reported he was shot and killed while protesting. I’m told he was just 14. This is one of several deaths across the country today
