The claims that Uhuru Kenyatta's first 3 years in office were better than that of Ruto are not only ridiculous but also disingenuous!

Kibaki left a vibrant economy to Uhuru Kenyatta.

Uhuru left an economy that was on the brink of collapse to Ruto.

During Uhuru's first three years, we were basically basking in the orgasm of Kibaki's good leadership. Other than leaving a debt of less KES 1.8 trillion, Kibaki also left a vibrant economy.

Instead of Uhuru Kenyatta building on the strong foundation Kibaki had left to him, Uhuru embarked on a massive looting and wanton borrowing spree, leaving behind massive debt of over KES 8.5 trillion.

Despite inheriting a near-death economy with most debts, including Eurobond falling due, President William Ruto's strategic reforms and interventions have significantly improved Kenya's economic outlook.

Kenya's GDP has hit 17 trillion shillings, inflation fell from 9.6% to 4.5%, the shilling strengthened from 162 to 129, lending rates dropped, forex reserves rose to USD 11. 8 billion, and millions regained access to loans.

Healthcare: 26 million Kenyans are now insured under TaifaCare (up from 7 million), with 107,000 health promoters deployed.

Education: 76,000 new teachers were hired, 23,000 classrooms built, university funding doubled, HELB allocations doubled, TVET enrollment more than doubled, and the Open University of Kenya Launched.

From digital transformation: eCitizen has grown from 353 services in 2022 to over 22,500 services today with 14 million users, to laying 24,000km of fibre, building 316 digital hubs, and training 1.8 million youth in digital skills.

Housing : 161,000 units are under construction, 4,888 homes are listed for sale, 177,000 student hostels are being built, and 330,000 construction jobs have been created.
