Dad, husband, stable isotope and organic geochemist/plumber @GAPP_Lab at Syracuse University and experimental home cook. I have a nitrogen fixation. he/him
Just a reminder that Goldschmidt is for organic geochemists too! If you are thinking of coming, check out the session @AZoceanographer and I are convening. Great Lakes, great food and great science, what more could you ask for? Hope to see you in August. https://t.co/mi8yXm6CuO
@DantheClamMan I was super confused by that picture because the nano is now over on the other side and it has been so long I forgot that it was in that spot for your visit.
Thanks Niels! This study was a labor of love with @RowanMartindale @chrisjunium@AdinaPaytan and other greats, and yet again these clams surprised me! 🧵
@ElderberryCham1 @ClimateOfGavin And this is what we call sealioning: repeatedly asking for evidence when it is right there for you and entering into debates in a effort to erode confidence.
@OrbulinasDad Looks like a great workshop, wish I could go! Feel free to add me to a list of people who are interested in the event deposits but can't be there.
@KVanValkenburg@deep_fried_egg Any chance that the Tour sees an anti-trust breakup as a reasonable outcome to end LIV and end their incipient relationship with the Saudis? Are they hedging?
Excited to share a new paper by @gcoffey_ that compiles estimates of friction heating from earthquakes across many faults to show how the energy budget of large and small earthquakes are different. Published in all OA and no-pub-fee @WeAreSeismica: https://t.co/9xOKIFeh8E
@ryanweather Takes don’t have to result in mortality and that’s not the specific definition. It can be an unintentional approach that is too close to an endangered species like right whales. It can be a non lethal ship strike or it can be a close approach for research purposes.
