What Palantir Actually Does (Most People Get This Wrong)

• AIP — layers LLMs and AI agents directly onto Foundry and Gotham, so AI works on your data, not the internet

The Ontology is the key concept. It's not a database. It's a semantic model of an organization — every asset, workflow, relationship, and decision mapped and linked. When you plug an LLM into it, the AI understands the business context. That's what makes Palantir different.
